Last Chance for $150k-GTD Battle of Malta

The inaugural $150k-guaranteed Battle of Malta is set to take place next week but it’s not too late to buy into the epic tournament.

Announced last spring, the Battle of Malta is the first live tournament PokerListings has hosted.

It starts next Thursday, Nov. 22, at 16:00 CET and runs until Sunday, Nov. 25.

The re-entry tournament offers a reasonable buy-in of €550 but the chance for some huge prizes with a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Party Poker pro Kara Scott will play host and several big-name players including 2012 WSOP Main Event bubble girl Gaëlle Baumann, high-stakes kingpin Dan “jungleman12” Cates and German poker icon Johannes Strassmann have confirmed their intentions to play the event.

€820 Discount with Friend Package

Malta provides a stunning backdrop for a poker tournament with its amazing mix of old and new, including cobblestone roads and castles that date back centuries.

Game of Thrones fans might recognize the town of Mdina on Malta as a stand-in for Kings Landing in Season 1.

Taking place at the prestigious Portomaso Casino in St. Julian's, the Battle of Malta will offer four days of poker action including several side events and a welcome VIP party.

Players who wish to buy into the Battle of Malta have three options:

  • 1. Buy an individual seat for €550
  • 2. Buy a €1,400 package that includes accommodation, meals, parties and more
  • 3. Buy a €1,970 friend package, which is essentially a full package for two players including both buy-ins

You can learn more about the buy-in options here. For even more information check out our Battle of Malta homepage.
