Humberto Brenes' bubble got popped on a big day at LAPT Chile.

The Latin American Poker Tour's return to Chile is poised to break records after a massive first Day 1 flight Thursday.

The devastation caused by an earthquake in early 2010 caused the LAPT to cancel its Chilean stop last season.

Instead, the online poker site sponsored the Poker for Chile charity event helping raise $200,000 for earthquake aid.

Now in its fourth season, the LAPT returned to the Chilean seaside city of Viña del Mar for the USD $1,100 buy-in LAPT Chile National Poker Championship Thursday and drew and amazing 351 for the first of two Day 1 flights.

The event is already the biggest poker tournament in Chilean history and with the second Day 1 session set to go off Friday, it will likely break the LAPT field size record of 536 set at LAPT Sao Paulo.

Just 99 players survived the day with Chilean Heriberto Carvajal grabbing the overnight lead.

Team PokerStars Pros Nacho Barbero, Humberto Brenes, Gualter Salles and Alex Gomes were among those who played, but failed to make it through the day.
