Review
John Vorhaus' Killer Poker Online is one of the many poker books aimed at the ever-expanding demographic of beginner online poker players. The purpose of the book is to teach novice poker players and players new to online play what it takes to become a successful online poker player.
Similar to the author's previous work, Killer Poker, Strategy, and Tactics for Wining Poker Play, this book is easy to read and understand. It teaches the reader the factors specific to online play, including how to spot online tells and how to manage your online bankroll, as well as the various pitfalls of online poker.
The only real "problem" with this book is that it was first printed in 2003. In the rapidly evolving world of online poker, some of the "truths" presented in "Killer Poker Online" are simply no longer true. With that said, the book is still worth reading regardless of if you are a seasoned brick-and-mortar player or a beginner wanting to learn more about the "personality" of online play.
The book consists of fourteen main chapters.
- True Facts of Online Poker
- The Mechanics of the Thing
- Money Management
- Mood Management
- Mind Management
- Data Management
- The Dark Side
- Online Pitfalls
- Wining Tactics for Online Play
- Phenomena of Online Play
- Online Tells
- Found Objects
- Tips
- The Future of Online Poker
To complete the product, an Introduction, Acknowledgements, Glossary, and a chapter about the author is also included, along with a couple of blank pages for your private scribbling.
The book totals 278 pages.
