KILL_BILL slays Bodog Poker $250k Guaranteed

Empire Casino, London

Bodog Poker hosted its biggest-ever guaranteed tournament on Sunday, promising a $250,000 prize pool. The value drew in 816 participants for the online tourney, but it was KILL_BILL who topped them all for the biggest payday.

"We'd like to congratulate KILL_BILL for his win against such a talent-rich field that included some of the biggest names from across the online poker world. We have a feeling we'll be seeing him back atop the leaderboard soon," said Morris Mohawk Gaming Group CEO Alwyn Morris.

"We're thrilled by the large number of online players who came out on Sunday to be a part of Bodog history. Many of these players took advantage of our daily satellites and were able to play for the $250,000 prize purse for as little as a dollar."

The final-table results from the $250k Guaranteed were as follows:

Place Name Prize
1st KILL_BILL $56,600
2nd jobless23 $31,400
3rd DrDankRx23 $21,750
4th dipthrong $16,875
5th Hongboy $13,625
6th CrewRepresent $10,500
7th Hunterare $7,750
8th StonecoldMS $5,250
9th TakeEmOut $3,000

While Mark "dipthrong" Helm made the final table, some other notable players were in the event as well. Bodog Poker pros Evelyn Ng and Jearn-Robert Bellande were on hand for some of the Texas Hold'em action.

Eric "rizen" Lynch, Shawn "Phatcat" Luman and Team Bodog players Magnus "magpe" Petersson, Jose "head2782" Severino, Ari "BodogAri" Engel and Smith "nevertilt22" Collins also participated.

The $250k Guaranteed isn't the only promotion Bodog Poker has to offer its players. Now players can turn their attention to the online qualifiers the poker site is hosting for the World Series of Poker Europe.

Bodog Poker is running online qualifiers for as little as $1 that will lead players into the Two Seats Guaranteed Euro Main Event Semifinal on Sept. 7. The semifinal will hand out prize packages that include the buy-in for the WSOPE Main Event plus round-trip airfare, car service to and from the airport, hotel accommodations, spending money and Bodog Poker gear and apparel.

Each prize package is worth $24,000.

If players have any doubt that those prize packages could be turned into a winning seat at the WSOPE, all they have to do is look at last year's Main Event. In the inaugural WSOPE Main Event in 2007, Bodog Poker qualifier Matt McCullough finished third out of the 623-person playing field.

The New Jersey resident was the last American standing in the tournament, and returned home from London with $766,674.
