Dan “jungleman12” Cates got down to business last night winning $430k from Phil Ivey, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Gus Hansen.

Cates, who was the biggest winner online last year, started his night by taking on Ivey at heads-up $300/$600 PLO.

He stacked Ivey for $240k in a scant 146 hands and then went on to play Hansen at heads-up $500/$1,000 Cap PLO.

In just 26 hands Cates was up $119k and Hansen had seen enough.

That’s when the main event of the night occurred when Cates signed on as w00ki3z on PokerStars and quickly found Viktor “Isildur1” Blom at the $50/$100 No-Limit Hold’em tables.

The rail was buzzing as the two No-Limit Hold’em masters played a massive 2,662 session with numerous swings.

Midway through the session Cates got lucky on several hands and Blom started to tilt. He wrote this in the chatbox:

"Isildur1: u so bad its embarrassing"
"Isildur1: how can u win so much money"
"w00ki3z: lol?"
"Isildur1: such a joke how u play"

The chat only seemed to inspire Cates and the Maryland-resident continued to win huge pots against Isildur1.

Finally, down a little more than $60k, Blom apologized for berating Cates and called it a night.

Combining both PokerStars and Full Tilt accounts Cates won $430k, easily making him the biggest winner in online poker last night.

Cates has now won nearly $800k this year, which makes him one of the early front-runners for biggest winner in 2011.

Other winners from last night included Also11 (+$208k), OMGClayAiken (+$95k) and LuckyGump (+$60k).

Among the losers were Phil Ivey (-$240k), Sauce123 (-$151k) and Isildur1 (-$102k).
