Jorgensen Jacked for $161k on PokerStars
Theo Jorgensen took a world class clobbering in the high stakes games on PokerStars last night.
The Danish pro fired up several tables of $25/$50 Pot-Limit Omaha on the site and ended up playing Viktor “Isildur1” Blom for the majority of 530 hands.
Playing Blom was a decision Jorgensen would likely regret as he lost on every single table he played. The worst one was Lobelia III, where he lost a total of $53,000 in a two-hour span.
Jorgensen, who famously boxed Gus Hansen as part of a prop bet in 2009, had been having a great year on PokerStars with close to half a million in profit.
Now Jorgensen will have to build his way back up from just $300,000 in winnings on PokerStars.
Despite his success against Jorgensen, Isildur1 was not a winner last night.
He would go on to play over 4,200 hands and sustained heavy losses against le kork eventually finishing the night down $94,000.
It’s been a wild seven days for Blom as he’s recorded over 400 sessions but is nearly even for all his efforts.
Surprisingly le kork went on to lose even more than Isildur1. The former SCOOP winner was the second biggest loser of the night dropping $124,000.
Meanwhile on the winning side, kabutze played 1,534 hands of $25/$50 PLO and grinded out a $107,737 profit.
Alexei Martov (+$93k), Rebuy Roope (+$92k) and Kanu7 (+$58k) were also big winners.
Phil Galfond, who plays on PokerStars as MrSweets28, finally recorded a nice profit last night. Galfond recently moved to Vancouver, Canada, to play online poker but had gotten pounded in his first games back.
Apparently the rust is gone because Galfond won $60k on PokerStars last night.
