Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke may have some competition at UltimateBet now. The poker site has signed Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy as a sponsored pro.

UltimateBet announced the addition of Cliff Josephy this week as part of the poker site's new "Star Players" team. The Star Players team is a new division of players.

"A Star Player is one who has an undisputed high level of skill, lots of integrity, and is well respected in the world of online poker," stated Annie Duke, who spearheaded adding Josephy after following his achievements over the years.

Josephy was a successful stockbroker for 14 years before trading in hedge funds for poker chips. He has since made a big name for himself in online poker where he is known as an exceptional tournament player.

UltimateBet also noted that his is known for his impressive positive attitude at the online tables as well.

He's no slouch at the live game either. In 2005, Josephy won a World Series of Poker bracelet in the $1,500 Seven-Card Stud event.

In 2006, he came close to winning a second bracelet as well. He made the final table of the $1,500 Seven-Card Razz event and finished in fourth place.

His other live achievements include several other WSOP cashes, cashes in World Poker Tour events and a second-place finish in the 2006 UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic.
