Joe Pelton wins WPT Legends of Poker

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Legends of Poker tournament crowned a new winner Wednesday after Joe Pelton lasted through four days of play and 460 players to claim the $1,577,170 first prize.

Joe Pelton was third in the chip count with $1,100,000 going into a final table that included Hoyt Corkins, Randy Holland, Scotty Nguyen, Frankie O'Dell, and Kevin O'Donnell. It took 69 hands for him to come out on top during final table play.

In addition to the $1.5 million Pelton earned for his efforts, he also received a Legends of Poker championship ring and entry into the $25,000 buy-in WPT Championships.
