Joanne 'JJ' Liu wins WPT Ladies Night IV

Joanne "JJ" Liu defeated five other women Thursday night to earn the title of World Poker Tour (WPT) Ladies Night IV Champion as well as a WPT ring and a seat in the WPT Championship Event.

Joanne Liu and four of the other players, Jennifer Tilly, Vanessa Rousso, Anahit Galajian, and Erica Schoenberg, were selected for Ladies Night IV based on their past performances at WPT events. The final seat was filled by Kelli Griggs who won her seat through the Bicycle Casino's Ladies Poker Party.

Tilly, the WPT Ladies Night III champion, was the first person eliminated from the table. She was taken out by Griggs, who went on to knock out Rousso in fifth place.

Schoenberg was the next to fall, and then Galajian, both taken out by eventual champion. The table came down to heads-up play in only three hours and it took Liu less than twenty minutes to get past Griggs for the win.

Ladies Night IV is scheduled to air on the Travel Channel in October.
