Jeremy Ausmus: 2012 WSOP October Nine

Jeremy Ausmus enters the final table last in chips.

Local Las Vegas poker pro Jeremy Ausmus has made the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event final table.

Originally from Colorado, Ausmus got into poker by watching the movie Rounders and playing poker with friends in college.

Ausmus graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in economics before moving to Las Vegas to pursue his dream of playing poker professionally.

That was in 2006 and although he’s already enjoyed a successful career as a live cash-game player, Ausmus now has a chance to change his life forever although he will enter the final table last in chips with 9,805,000.

Ausmus had $1.2 million in live tournament earnings previous to this Main Event, and had cashed at the WSOP 14 times.

In fact, Ausmus had already cashed at the WSOP eight times this summer alone before playing the Main Event.

Ausmus also played online poker before Black Friday, under the screenname “TheTaker”.

Notable Quote from Jeremy Ausmus
