U.S. poker pro Jean Gaspard has a commanding chip lead after three days of action at the WPT Borgata Poker Open.

Gaspard leads the final 31 players with 5.4 million chips but there are some notables in the top 10 with Darren Elias (1.7 million) and Kane Kalas (1.6 million), the son of Phillies broadcasting legend Harry Kalas, looking dangerous as the final table approaches.

The WPT Borgata Poker Open drew a staggering 1,226 players, which means they are chasing a massive $843,744 first-place prize.

Gaspard has a diverse collection of tournament cashes dating back to 2003 but he’s still lacking a WPT title. It’s something he’ll look to rectify over the next two days at Borgata and thanks to a nearly 2-1 chip lead on his closest competition he might just pull it off.

A total of 150 players returned to action on Day 2 of the Borgata Poker Open with Mike Sexton, Ryan Riess and Dan O’Brien among the many pros who busted throughout the day.

Plenty of pros also made it into the final 31, however, with Cornel Cimpan, Barry Shulman, Erik Cajelais and local hero Matt Glantz all still alive.

Action resumes at 12 p.m. ET today. Check the WPT live updates for more information. Here’s a look at the top 10 chip leaders to end Day 3:
