2006 World Champion of Poker Jamie Gold has signed a two year endorsement deal with Bodog.com. Gold entered the World Series as a member of the poker room's celebrity team together with Bodog.com-sponsored poker pros David Williams, Josh Arieh and Evelyn Ng.

As part of the agreement, Gold will play in live tournaments around the world and will represent Bodog.com at various poker events. He will also host a table at the online poker room, allowing Bodog.com players to test their skills against the newly crowned poker champ.

A $1 million producing deal was also negotiated as part of Gold's sponsorship, which will see the L.A.-based television producer and Bodog.com working together to create various television productions.

Gold came out on top of a field of 8,772 players to take home first place and its prize of $12 million at the World Series of Poker this morning. His win also earned him the title of World Champion of Poker and the coveted gold and diamond championship bracelet.

After winning the historic event, Gold said, "I can't believe it, I am very happy. It started off tough, but once I felt in control, I realized that if I continued to play my game, I would be very hard to beat."

"This wouldn't have been possible without the support of my friends and family along with the members of Team Bodog," he added.

"Jamie truly epitomizes the Bodog spirit. We are incredibly proud of his achievement and thrilled by his performance in the tournament," said Calvin Ayre, founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "This was the most exciting and dominant performance since the WSOP has grown to its current size, fueled by poker's ever growing popularity."
