Ivey makes High Stakes Poker debut Monday
By Sarah Polson
The first two seasons of High Stakes Poker seemed to be missing an important part of the high-stakes gambling element - Phil Ivey. That will be corrected on Monday when he makes his debut on the poker show.
Phil Ivey is considered one of the best high-stakes cash-game poker players, and the minimum $100,000 buy-in for the game is right up his alley.
The episode will air at 9 p.m. Monday on the Game Show Network (GSN).
Also new to the show this year is 2006 World Series of Poker champion Jamie Gold, runner-up Paul Wasicka, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson and others.
Ivey will be joined on Monday's show by players such as Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matusow, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, John D'Agostino, David Williams and David Benyamine.
Brad Booth is also slated to appear and plans to bring $1 million to the table with him.
