Ivey eases the pain with $439k pot

Phil Ivey
It's good to be the king.

Going 0-for-55 at this year's WSOP in Vegas, Phil Ivey was down to WSOP Europe to save him from a six-figure hit from his bracelet side bets.

With a deep run in the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament, it even looked like he might just pull it off.

Busting out in sixth, however, and then busting again early in the Main Event, it wasn't meant to be for Ivey and it looks like he'll be forking out some big money very shortly.

Luckily for Ivey though, there's always perennial high-stakes online poker whipping boy lady marmelade.

Lady marmelade stepped up to give it a go at RailHeaven again this week and, true to form, dumped off $300k to Ivey including the biggest pot this week.
