Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton will compete for $1 million in the biggest edition of the SuperStar Showdown ever.

Both players will put $500,000 of their own cash on the line this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET with the intent of playing heads-up $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em on PokerStars.

Unlike the regular SuperStar Showdown there will be no 2,500-hand cap and the pair will go until one of them has drained every last cent of their $500k.

In other words one player will leave with $1 million and the other with nothing.

The match will play out four hours every day, for as long as it takes.

The epic showdown has been a long time coming as Isaac Haxton is the only player to have actually won money off Isildur1 in the 10 matches that have been against pros (Daniel Negreanu technically won one of his matches but was down overall).

In the very first Superstar Showdown Haxton beat Isildur1 for $41k. A few weeks ago the pair had a rematch and Haxton once again emerged victorious – albeit for only $5,093.

Will the match essentially be heads-up for rolls? It’s tough to say as Isildur1 is actually down $455k on PokerStars this year but won the PCA Super High Roller for $1.3 million in January.

Meanwhile Haxton is up $116k this year but could see that profit quickly evaporate if the Showdown starts to go sideways.

If you’re interested in watching some of the action be sure to log onto PokerStars on Sunday and navigate your way to the SuperStar Showdown tables.

Regardless we’ll provide our first update of the action on Monday and should have some of the biggest hands in our online poker stats section.
