Irish Poker Classic Festival begins this week

Several Betfair Players may be thinking they've been touched with a little luck of the Irish as they're heading to Cork, Ireland this week for the Irish Poker Classic Festival at the Macau Sporting Club.

Players who go by the nicknames tamboy, NORMYLAD, pot is back, chip007, antonyg and CIPO70, have all qualified for the tournament at Betfair Poker.

They've each received a $2,600 prize package that includes the buy-in for the Irish Poker Classic Festival main event and money for travel and accommodations.

Betfair has also made the Irish Poker Classic Festival a Threedom Pass event, so if one of those players makes it to the final table, Betfair Poker will pay their entry fee for that event for the next three years.

The Irish Poker Classic Festival kicks off Wednesday with a $200 super satellite for the main event. Eight main event seats are guaranteed for the event.

Thursday will be the ladies freeroll for a seat in the main event, plus the $380 No-Limit Texas Hold'em event will officially start the festival's tournament series.

Friday starts the three-day, $1,500 main event, and the festival will also see a $500 Omaha event on Saturday and a two-day $500 No-Limit Hold'em event starting Sunday.

The festival will wrap up June 4 with the Betfair Poker Pub Challenge. It's a No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament with a buy-in of $250+$20.
