iPoker network expands
By Erik Sylven
The rapidly growing iPoker network is expanding even further. Early in February, iPoker sites will be joined by several poker rooms from the Tain network.
Tain mainly consists of small poker sites from the Nordic countries, and the network normally has around 1,000 cash-game players during peak hours. In October 2006, the Tain Network merged with Tribeca tables.
The iPoker network is operated by Playtech, one of the world's largest online gaming software suppliers, and includes sites such as Titan Poker. In November 2006, Playtech acquired Tribeca Tables Europe Ltd. with the intention of merging the Tribeca poker rooms to the iPoker Network.
The first step is the migration of the Tain sites to iPoker. These new players will be a welcome addition to the network in their struggle to compete with the established poker networks.
