Iowa home game raided, woman arrested

A nine-month sting operation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation resulted in the arrest of Tammy Louann Proulx, 38, and the seizure of $6,212.47, a poker table, poker chips and decks of playing cards.

According to the Quad-City Times, Bettendorf woman Tammy Louann Proulx was arrested Monday for running illegal poker games out of her home. The former Isle of Capri-Bettendorf poker room dealer was charged with gaming and betting, keeping a gambling house and possession of a controlled substance.

Ten other people were arrested during the raid, which was performed with the assistance of the Bettendorf Police Department. Undercover police officers had been at Proulx's house, monitoring illegal poker games involving large sums of cash.

Nine of the people arrested were cited with gaming and betting, and one was charged with interference with official acts. All ten were released after being cited.
