ImTheJackal growls at Bodog $100K Tournament

Eric Lynch
Eric Lynch almost got the final table of the $100K BoDog Sunday Tournament.

By Arthur Crowson

There's nothing like an extra $25,000 in the old bank account and that's exactly what ImTheJackal received for winning BoDog's $100K Sunday tournament yesterday.

ImTheJackal had to rip through 873 players to claim the prize.

The competition was fierce with noted Internet pro Eric "Rizen" Lynch's eyes set firmly on the final table. Lynch had an incredible five cashes at this year's WSOP and it apparently hasn't hurt his online game either. In Sunday's contest Rizen had to settle for $1,000 when he bubbled the final table placing 10th.

ImTheJackal took the chip lead into the final table and never let up. A BoDog regular, ImTheJackal demonstrated exemplary scavenging skills by picking off almost every opponent at the final table.

Another BoDog regular, Henge, who was beaten heads-up by Jon "PearlJammer" Turner in this event approximately one month ago, also made an appearance at the final table. Unfortunately Henge, who placed third, will have to wait a little longer for first-place glory.

It all came down to a heads-up battle between ImTheJackal and julespf. ImTheJackal was not to be denied and easily dispatched julespf with quad threes on the final hand of the day.

Here are the complete final-table results:

Place Player Prize
1. ImTheJackal $25,000
2. julespf $14,000
3. Henge $9,000
4. BigSanka $6,500
5. elladaddy_mc $5,400
6. IlDiavolo $4,400
7. jqhottie $3,400
8. OlazabalJuan $2,400
9. buckets13 $1,550

BoDog also announced today it has received a certificate of evaluation for its random number generator from gaming associates. The RNG was evaluated for all of BoDog's poker games including Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Card Stud, 7-Card Hi/Lo and 5-Card Stud.

The evaluation concluded that cards drawn for the games were both fair and not predictable. The certification indicates that BoDog is one of the most secure gaming Web sites on the Internet. You can head over to BoDog to qualify for the $100K Sunday Tournament for as little as $1.
