Ilari_FIN Snags $112k on PokerStars
The big online games are starting to pick up again and Ilari Sahamies won over $100k on PokerStars last night.
Sahamies, who plays as Ilari_FIN on PokerStars, only played 196 hands but managed to dominate the $50/$100 PLO games.
Moirhums, Rui “PepperoniF” Cao and Fake Love888 were among the players who Sahamies managed to stack numerous times last night.
In less than an hour Sahamies added $112k to his bankroll before finally calling it a night.
One of the best stories in high stakes online poker this year, Sahamies struggled through the early part of the year and eventually bottomed out at -$814k.
The aggressive Finn fought back valiantly, however, and is currently sitting on $1.2 million after going on the mother of all heaters in fall.
Ben “Ben86” Tollerene finished second to Sahamies in high stakes profit last night but it certainly wasn’t due to a lack of effort.
Tollerene recorded nearly 2,000 hands as he eventually stacked his way to a $43k profit. It was a huge win for Tollerene as he bumped his overall online poker profit this year up to $212k.
Some of the other big winners last night included Finnish pro Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen (+$32k), !P0krparty? (+$24k) and anti-durrr (+$23k).
Meanwhile moirhums took the worst of it, mostly due to Sahamies. In just 119 he amassed $79k in losses. It does nothing to help moirhums online campaign this year as he’s currently down over $200k.
Rui Cao also took a significant amount of damage from Sahamies, losing a total of $30k to the swingy Finn.
Rounding out the top five losers were EireAbu (-$29k), Terken89 (-$28k) and Jannik007111 (-$25k).
