If you're looking to win a seat in the 2009 Asian Poker Tour Macau event then go straight to Hollywood Poker, RedKings Poker or bwin Poker.

APT organizers announced today that every room in the Ongame network will be offering prize packages to APT Macau worth $8,000 each.

The Asian Poker Tour Macau Festival begins Aug. 12 and will run to Aug. 23. There will be a total of 21 events on the schedule with the Main Event starting Aug. 17.

Not only are there numerous events on the schedule but there is a large amount of game variety with a ladies event, a team event and a heads-up event all scheduled to take place. You can check out the complete schedule on the APT website here.

Tournament circuit regular Matt Savage will be handling tournament directing duties at the event and he mentioned he's excited to see the direction the tour is going.

"This is an ambitious tournament schedule and there is something for everybody within it, there's no doubt it is player friendly," he said. "Macau's poker scene is booming and some of the formats will certainly be firsts for the region. The guarantees are great and it is exciting to see the heads-up and ladies event on the schedule. What shouldn't be forgotten as well though is that the APT hosts legendary parties - the one in Macau last year even won awards!"

The tournament also has the unusual distinction of being the backdrop for Chinese poker movie, "Poker King." The movie will feature several A-list Chinese actors and some are predicting it could be Asia's very own Rounders.

Last year U.S. player Yevgeniy Timoshenko won $500,000 after he outlasted 256 players to take down the 2008 edition of APT Macau.
