Celebs stick their necks out at Hollywood Poker
By Erin Warner
Players still seething from being knocked out by Meatloaf at last year's Hollywood Poker WSOP Celebrity Shootout can now seek their revenge. The third annual event returns to the poker room June 3 at 12 p.m.
The winner of the tournament - at which players act as bounty hunters in an effort to knock celebrities out of play - will receive a $10,000 seat at this year's World Series of Poker Main Event.
Those who finish in second or third place take away $2,500 in WSOP dollars.
As is customary at Hollywood Poker, the shootout is likely to draw a contingent of red carpet regulars.
This year's invite list includes Seinfeld's Jason Alexander, actor Dennis Quaid, musician and sometime-thespian Meatloaf, Saturday Night Live alum Kevin Nealon, '90s teen sensation Donnie Walburg and, of course, Hollywood Poker co-owner James Woods.
Seats for the WSOP Celebrity Shootout can be won daily through ongoing $5+50¢ sit-and-go qualifiers or via a straight-up buy-in of $20+$2.
