High Roller, Heads Up and Shoot Out Action Fills PCA Felt

Dario Minieri is on to the second round in the NAPT Bounty Shoot Out.

PokerStars brought the NAPT's Bounty Shootout format to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Thursday.

A total of 216 players entered the $5,250 NAPT Bounty Shoot Out, each with a $1k price on their head.

One winner from each of the 36 six-handed tables pushed through to Friday with a seat in the second round and a shot at the third round final table.

Among the more notables through to the second round were Jeff Madsen, Faraz Jaka, brothers Michael and Nick Binger and Team PokerStars Pros Dario Minieri, Barry Greenstein and Ville Wahlbeck.

In the meantime, the PCA's $5,250 Heads-Up Championship is down to the final eight.

It's Scott Baumstein vs. Peter de Vries, Bryan Pellegrino vs. Jamie Armstrong, Daniel Colman vs. Benjamin Leblond, and Jonathan Jaffe vs. Tobias Kuder in the quarterfinals.

Each player is guaranteed $17,600 at this point with $120k reserved for first.

Finally, the $25k PCA High Roller kicks off Friday at 12 p.m. inside the Atlantis Hotel & Casino with some of poker's biggest names expected to play.

Last year, 84 played with online poker pro William Reynolds winning the title and $576,240.

Organizers are expecting more than 100 this time around.
