First time poker novelist, Brandon Adams, has received high praise for his book, "Broke: A Poker Novel," from poker pro Phil Hellmuth, who called the read "Excellent, entertaining, and extremely well written...I couldn't stop reading!"

The novel, which became available in bookstores across the United States yesterday, tells the story of a group of high-stakes players competing in the world of high-limit poker.

Author Brandon Adams is himself a high-limit poker pro who has played at final tables alongside some of the world's top players. His final table finishes include a 6th place win at the Jack Binion World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit main event ($114,475), a 9th place finish at the 2005 WSOP Tournament of Champions ($25,000), and an 8th place win at the Palms No-Limit Hold'em Summer Poker Series ($485).

Adams also plays online under the username "wins_pot," and has appeared on television for his poker accomplishments.

"Broke" chronicles the adventures of three poker players - Raf, Robert, and Matt - and the dangerous situations they encounter on their quest for poker fame and fortune.
