Hellmuth MCs NBA star's birthday poker party

Poker pro Phil Hellmuth emceed San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker's birthday poker party in Dallas, Texas, recently. Hellmuth was asked to host the event by Parker's longtime girlfriend, "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria.

The $300 buy-in No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament party took place the day after the San Antonio Spurs won Game 6 of the Dallas Mavericks/San Antonio Spurs series, and boasted re-buys, professional dealers, and a floor man. Each player received $10,000 in starting chips.

Hellmuth, who in addition to his role as host also competed in the event alongside Parker, Longoria, poker pro Crandall Addington, and the entire Spurs team, went heads-up in the first hand with the famous French point guard and defeated him.

Neither Hellmuth, Longoria, Parker, or any of the Spurs made the final table or collected the $10,000 first place prize.
