Heavy hitters at Five Diamond World Poker Classic
The big names in No-Limit Hold'em are big names for a reason: They win. That's been the case at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas this past week, as players like J.C. Tran, Barry Greenstein and David "the Dragon" Pham have all made their presence felt.
The Bellagio Hotel and Casino has played host to the Classic for the past ten days, with daily No-Limit Hold'em events drawing in the big names and paying out the big bucks.
Among the winners so far have been notorious poker pros David Ulliot, Ralph Perry, David Daneshgar and J.C. Tran.
Among the final table combatants have been similarly notorious players Greenstein, Men "The Master" Nguyen, 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) breakout star Jeff Madsen, Full Tilt Poker pro Roland De Wolfe and Pham.
Pham has been a runner-up twice, and walked away with over $300,000 in total.
Play continues daily, culminating in the big $15,000 + $400 Doyle Brunson North American No-Limit Hold'em Poker Classic starting Dec. 14.
