Heads-up for Barcelona satellites on CelebPoker
The are certainly worse places to be than seaside in Spain; particularly if you're in the process of being named the 2007 World Heads-Up Poker Champion. CelebPoker is happy to give you a shot at it, with new satellites running for the World Heads-Up Poker Championship (WHUPC) set for Barcelona in May.
The 128-seat head-to-head showdown is set for May 21-29 at the Casino Barcelona and is scheduled to be televised and aired in six one-hour shows in markets around the world.
Buy-in is €2,500+€100, making for a €320,000 total prize pool and €125,000 being earmarked for the champ.
If you'd like that to be you, CelebPoker will try their best to get you there. They're now offering up $4,900 packages to the event, including buy-in to the single elimination No-Limit tournament and an extra $1,350 in accommodation and travel money.
The first $30 buy-in satellite ran today but plenty more are on the slate, and you can win your way in through several tournaments running at a quarter to the hour, every hour.
