Hastings stings martonas for $700k

Gotta Get that Paper, Dog

The saga of martonas continued yesterday.

This time the still unidentified high stakes junkie took on noted Cardrunners pro Brian "Stinger" Hastings in $300/$600 heads-up No-Limit Hold'em on Full Tilt Poker.

Although both players poured on the aggression, it seemed to be Hastings getting the best of it from the beginning. Perhaps martonas was still tilting from dropping more than a million against durrrr the previous day.

It didn't take long for the $100k pots to start flying. In the biggest hand of the session, Hastings dominated martonas with the turned nut-straight. That pot alone was enough to earn Hastings $258k, but Hastings turned yet another straight later on to earn another $236k pot bringing him up to a $700k profit.

The question on everyone's mind is how much more martonas can take of this. The unknown Swede has seen his massive profit from last week's high stakes games dwindle to just $800k over the past few days.

Hastings and martonas weren't the only busy players as the No-Limit Hold'em trend continued with Patrik Antonius and aejones gunning for each other.

Playing at the $500/$1,000 level, aejones ended up dumping about $400k to Antonius in a hard-fought heads-up battle.

Although Antonius and Hastings were the big winners, David Benyamine and Ziigmund both made $200k profits on the night as well.
