Harman antes up for SPCA

The Third Annual Jennifer Harman Charity Poker Tournament benefiting the Nevada SPCA is set April 17th in Las Vegas.

Open to the public, the $300 + $30 tournament always attracts big names from the poker world and beyond.

The Simpsons' Nancy Cartwright, Dancing With the Stars' Karina Smirnoff and ESPN commentator Lon McEachern have already confirmed as have pro poker players Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Barry Greenstein, Phil Hellmuth, Erica Schoenberg, Maria Ho, Tiffany Michelle and a host of others.

Players have unlimited re-buys at $100 each during the first three 20-minute levels and a one-time $100 add-on is available at the end of the re-buy period.

All proceeds will benefit the Nevada SPCA, although a $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seat and a Curtis & Co. watch is up for grabs. The top ten finishers will also win sponsored prizes.

Last year's champion was Seth Dupre, a part-time player from Las Vegas. Pro player Kirk Morrison won in 2007, turning his WSOP Main Event seat into a 56th place finish and $154,194 payday.

Held at The Venetian Poker Room, the event will feature a Red Carpet walk with various animals from the Las Vegas SPCA escorting celebrities and a silent auction beginning at 4 p.m.
