Hansen Rebounds with $322k Win
It appears that nothing can slow the Gus Hansen juggernaut in 2011, as the Team Full Tilt Pro made a $322k comeback last night.
Earlier in the week Hansen lost over $500k in 2-7 Triple Draw to O Fortuna PLS. Undaunted, Hansen took to the $500/$1,000 PLO games last night and blasted Arbianight for $150k in 250 hands.
Apparently unsatisfied with that victory, Hansen went on to play fellow Scandinavian Andreas “skjervoy” Torbergsen. In about 300 hands, Hansen beat skjervoy out of $172k before calling it a night.
With his victories Hansen is once again up to $3.2 million in online poker profit this year. The Great Dane is easily the biggest winner of 2011 with Matt Hawrilenko a distant second at $1.8 million in profit.
NoParasan was the second biggest winner last night taking down $204k in 1,201 hands of $100/$200 and $200/$400 PLO.
NoParasan has yet to be identified but has accrued more than $1 million in profit this year and has gone toe-to-toe with many of the elite high stakes players.
Also of note last night was XWINK getting involved in the $50/$100 and $100/$200 PLO games. Earlier this month, XWINK raised many eyebrows when he went from $4k to $2 million on Full Tilt in four days.
At that point XWINK mentioned he was going to withdraw $500k and keep playing the high stakes games. He did keep playing some of the biggest games available and in the process lost $1.5 million.
It appears that he made good on his promise on withdrawing $500k and is now attempting to once again spin his way up to millions.
XWINK got off to a decent start last night by winning $25k but it could be awhile before he’s playing the $500/$1,000 games again.
Other big winners last night included Kpederson (+$101k), Cole South (+59k) and FinnishNightmre (+$57k).
Arbianight (-$236k) and skjervoy (-$162k) were two of the biggest losers last night, thanks to Gus Hansen, but zivziv isr (-$163k), OMGClayAiken (-$86k) and Bttech86 (-$62k) had regrettable nights as well.
