Hansen Gets Revenge on Urindanger
Gus Hansen didn’t have to wait long to settle the score against Di “Urindanger” Dang who won $100k from him this weekend.
Last night Hansen recorded 304 hands of heads-up $500/$1,000 Cap PLO against Urindanger on Full Tilt and for once he was the one with the hammer.
After pummeling Urindanger for several hours Hansen finished with an extra $239k in his online bankroll.
The Great Dane didn’t end his night there, however, as he moved on to playing Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies at $2,000/$4,000 Omaha Hi-Lo. Hansen has said several times that Omaha-8 is likely his best game and it certainly showed against Ziigmund.
Hansen won $120,940 from the aggressive Finn in approximately 200 hands.
After a few more smaller scores had been added to the mix Hansen finished his night up a total of $425k.
Hansen is still the biggest loser of the year with $3.2 million missing from his bankroll in 2010 but if he can keep up the pace of winning $400k a day it would take him only a week to get even.
The tables were actually fairly quiet last night as big guns Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius were all absent but there were a few players who made decent scores.
Scandi Erik “DIN_FRU” Sagstrom raked $83k, grillarock won $50k and Brian Hastings took down $30k.
Ziigmund was the biggest loser of the evening dropping $170k. bixiu (-$140k), Urindanger (-$100k) and Jani Vilmunen (-$68k) also lost sizable amounts of cash.
