Gunmen crash $25 Friday night home game

By Erin Warner

No one was hurt but the pot was a lot smaller after three gunmen stormed a California home game and demanded the players turn over their cash Friday.

Police in Vacaville, Calif., say the men rushed a house where seven people were playing poker for a reported $25 buy-in.

The armed hold-up took place in a quiet suburb at 11 p.m. and caught the neighbors off guard, reports a local CBS affiliate.

The home's owner hosted a regular poker game on Friday nights, the broadcaster quoted one area woman as saying. Police believe the perpetrators found out about the game and executed the invasion without even having to unlock the front door.

Information on how much money was stolen was not released.

Police continue to investigate the crime, considered serious because of the rarity of home invasions in the neighborhood.
