One of Europe's most popular Limit Hold'em tournaments is back for another year and the buzz is already starting build.

The Grosvenor Grand Prix will take place at the Grosvenor casino in Walsall between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2. The Grand Prix is unique in that it's not possible to buy-in directly and every participant must qualify.

Now in its sixth year, the event has been incorporated into the Grosvenor U.K. Poker Tour (GUKPT) and sponsor Blue Square Poker is adding £25,000 to this year's prize pool. In addition the winner of the event will receive a free seat to the £3,000 GUKPT Grand Final and the tour's £75,000 Champion of Champions tourney.

Last year 1,267 players entered the Grand Prix but it was Marcus Bebb-Jones who emerged the ultimate victor pocketing £90,000 in the process.

The super satellite qualifiers are all 50 Pot-Limit Hold'em rebuy tournaments in which one in every eight players qualifies for the final stages in Walsall. There is no registration fee for the Grand Prix but 5% will be deducted from the prize pool.

Online super satellites will take place on selected Thursdays on Blue Square poker starting Sept. 11 and going until Oct. 23.

In addition there will be three last chance satellites at the Walsall casino during the week of the event. For more information about the Grosvenor Grand Prix check out the event's dedicated website at
