Online gambling company 888 Holdings, Plc. has found a new partner in Georgica's Rileys snooker clubs. The pair is planning a virtual collision of green felts by launching a poker Web site.

Rileys, Europe's largest operator of pool and snooker clubs, is in the process of adding live poker tournaments to the offerings of its 168 clubs. These events would be twinned with online poker competitions, news service Reuters is reporting.

The two companies will cross-promote the businesses using online qualifiers to get in on live tournaments at the brick and mortar clubs.

Rileys enjoys a current membership of 525,000 clients. 888.com, meanwhile, is one of world's largest Internet gaming companies, whose holdings include Pacific Poker and an online casino.

In further ties to the snooker world, 888.com has also announced its sponsorship of pro player Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Under the terms of the 18-month agreement, the snooker player will wear an 888.com insignia during tournaments and make personal appearances for the company.
