Golden Palace.com, owner of Golden Palace Poker, has issued a statement urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of missing toilets formerly owned by Grateful Dead lead singer Jerry Garcia to contact the gaming site immediately. A reward of $5,000 will be awarded to the person whose information leads to the return of the goods to Golden Palace.com, which purchased the four toilets and a bidet last month in a bid to raise money for charity.
Golden Palace.com bought the restroom equipment on eBay on March 14. Proceeds from the sale, which amounted to just over $5,000, were donated to the Sophia Foundation, a non-profit organization assisting children and families in transition.
The toilets and bidet were stolen from a driveway where they were awaiting shipment to Golden Palace.com. There are currently no leads or suspects in the robbery.
The Internet site was planning to include the toilets on a charity tour of its traveling museum, which will include many of the other strange, miscellaneous pieces in Golden Palace.com's collection of religious and otherwise random items.
