Bodog.com is bringing out the big guns early in the 2007 poker season. This weekend they're filling in the gap before the Super Bowl by beefing up their weekly guaranteed tournament to $200,000, and they've launched their 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Qualifier tournaments.
Players who are looking for a big score and going through a little football withdrawal before the big game next week can try their hand at the $200,000 guaranteed weekly tournament on Sunday.
The prize pool is the largest ever guaranteed by Bodog.com and for as little as $1, players can win their way into the tournament through satellites running right now. Otherwise, the buy-in is $100+$9 to play.
The real excitement for poker players is the launch of the 2007 World Series of Poker Qualifiers at Bodog.com this week.
The poker site will be giving away at least three $12,000 prize packages weekly through its WSOP Semifinals tournaments that take place every Monday, Thursday and Sunday.
Satellites are already running for the semifinal events with buy-ins as low as $1.
Last year Bodog.com sent 500 players to the WSOP with many of them walking away with cash from the tournament, including Jamie Gold who won the $12 million top prize.
