German artist to recreate Bond poker scene with dead bodies

By Sarah Polson

Gunther von Hagens has his unique exhibits of human bodies on display all over the world, and he recently announced his plan to recreate a poker scene from the latest "James Bond" movie using dead bodies and his plastination technique.

Von Hagens, who is an anatomist, plans to use bodies to resemble Daniel Craig as James Bond and other characters from "Casino Royale," to recreate a poker-playing scene that takes place during the movie.

The dead bodies don't decay or have any odor due to the plastination process von Hagens invented. During the process, the bodies fluids, water and fats are all replaced by plastics, making it so they can even be touched without harm to the specimens.

The "James Bond" poker scene will be on display at the Plastinarium that von Hagens is opening in Guben, Germany, in three weeks.

"Casino Royale," will be released in theaters in November.
