PokerStars is inviting some of the best heads-up players in the world to take part in an elite competition where the winner walks away with more than $500k.

Every player will plunk down $100k to enter the competition and recent PokerStars signing Isaac Haxton has already confirmed he will play.

“I’m excited to start my tenure with Team PokerStars with the chance to win a big title and a lot of money in my favourite form of poker,” he said.

“There are no titles or champions in heads-up cash games, just winners and losers. This tournament will change that by crowning the first All-Star Showdown champion.”

The All-Star Showdown will be an eight-person No-Limit Hold'em heads-up single elimination tournament on PokerStars running from Oct. 27 to Nov. 4 starting at 18:00 CET.

Interestingly each match will take place over four tables at once. Each individual match ends when a player busts on all four tables. Blinds double after every 3,000 hands played.

Players currently confirmed for the event include:

  • Isaac ‘Ike Haxton’ Haxton
  • Alexander ‘Kanu7’ Millar
  • Alexander ‘Sussie Smith’ Roumeliotis
  • Benjamin ‘Sauce123’ Sulsky
  • Phil ‘mrSweets28’ Galfond
  • KTPOKP

Registration for the massive event is currently open so if you want to battle with poker’s elite feel free to send an email to highstakes@pokerstars.com.
