FTOPS X scheduled for November

The Spoils of War

It was just two years ago that the very first Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) was held, with its quaint nine events and total prize pool worth $2 million. Now, as Full Tilt prepares FTOPS X, the series has become one of the best-known on the Internet, and will feature a whopping $15 million guarantee.

Full Tilt has just announced that FTOPS X will take place Nov. 5-16 with a total of 25 events scheduled. As always the tournaments will run the gamut of poker variants; Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Razz and H.O.R.S.E. are all well-represented.

Although hosts of each event will be announced at a later date, you can bet that Full Tilt will be using a number of its vaunted Team Full Tilt Pro, which includes players like Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Howard Lederer and Patrik Antonius.

Full Tilt Poker will once again be running its popular satellite challenge, which sees some big cash bonuses shipped to the player who qualifies the most times for an FTOPS event. Players can already qualify for Event 1 (the faster the better, as online player The Fiend 34 already has an astounding 43 satellite wins for Event 1).

As usual FTOPS X will culminate with a $500+$35 main event, which will take place on Sunday, Nov. 16. The event will carry a huge $2.5 million guarantee this time around.

The FTOPS IX main event was won by dubbeemin who took down $432,400 for coming in first in one of Full Tilt Poker's biggest tournaments of all time. Kelly Kim, a member of the WSOP November Nine, nearly made the final table of FTOPS IX but ended up coming in 16th.
