Full Tilt Poker throws more cash at latest online series

By Erin Warner

Back by popular demand: a new Full Tilt Online Poker Series. After wrapping the last series in November, the poker room is mixing things up starting Feb. 9 by pulverizing its past record prize pools.

Given the success of the first two series - the $1 million inaugural event and its $2.5 million successor - the poker room decided to tack on some serious cash.

This time around the site promises $3.6 million in guaranteed prize money, including a $1.5 million No-Limit Hold'em main event.

The second Full Tilt Online Poker Series winner, crownginger, claimed $161,000 while Spiked, the most recent champion, pocketed $224,000.

In addition to the amplified prize money, winners of each tournament in the series will take home a gold Full Tilt Poker jersey - a new addition to this year's event - and a matching gold jersey avatar to let your competitors know who's boss.

Tournaments include No-Limit Hold'em, H.O.R.S.E, Omaha Hi-Lo, Pot-Limit Hold'em and special events to be announced.
