In Connecticut, Victor Ramdin outlasted 430 other players to claim first place at the $10,000 buy-in WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic. Ramdin's $1.3 million payoff was the biggest of his career. In addition, Ramdin's victory also earned him a seat at the WPT $25,000 buy-in Championship tournament at the Bellagio later this month.
Team Full Tilt member Erick Lindgren will also be playing in the WPT Championship event, after winning his $25,000 buy-in and more than $260,000 in first-place prize money at the $3,000 Bellagio Five-Star Poker Classic. Lindgren beat 227 other players to claim his prize.
"Victor and Erick both had incredible showings last week," said Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer. "Their respective wins once again show the depth of talent at Full Tilt Poker, and are great confidence builders for both players as they head toward the WPT Championship and then, the WSOP."
As members of Team Full Tilt, Ramdin and Lindgren represent the online gaming site and play poker several hours a week in its poker rooms, helping online amateurs improve their game by offering tips through real-time chats at the tables. They are joined by 31 other top players at Full Tilt, including Howard Lederer, Phil Gordon, Clonie Gowen, Jennifer Harman, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, Mike Matusow, Huck Seed, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, and John Juanda, among others.
