FTOPS VIII begins today

All aboard the Chiu-choo train today as Full Tilt kicks off its latest online poker series.

David Chiu recently defeated Gus Hansen to win his first World Poker Tour title, and tonight players at Full Tilt Poker can take him on as he hosts the first event of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VIII.
The first event of the 24-part series will be the $200+$16 No-Limit Hold'em six-max event with a $750,000 guarantee. Also guaranteed is the presence of David Chiu as he plays host. In fact, all the events of the FTOPS VIII will be hosted by poker pros from all over the world.
Just looking at the events that have a $1 million or more guaranteed prize pool, the hosting pros will include Gus Hansen, Nick Schulman, Phil Gordon, Phil Ivey and Jennifer Harman.
Harman has the honor of hosting the Full Tilt series main event this time around. Players can take her on for a buy-in of $500+$35 in the No-Limit Hold'em event and get a crack at a $2 million prize pool.
Other event hosts include 2006 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Jeff Madsen; WSOP bracelet winners Max Pescatori, David Pham, Mike Matusow and Lee Watkinson; 1986 WSOP Main Event winner Berry Johnston; 2007 National Heads-Up Championship winner Paul Wasicka; and others.
