FTOPS VI update: Event 9
By Sarah Polson
After a $1 million guaranteed prize pool event on Monday, it would be understandable if fewer players showed up for Tuesday's event with its $150,000 guarantee. But either Chris Ferguson is a big draw or there's a lot of Omaha lovers out there.
Event 9 saw 1,331 players, just one shy of the same number from Event 8 on Monday, put up the $200+$16 to play some Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo. Making it to the top of the field was boogey77.
For the win, boogey77 picked up $58,564 of the $266,200 prize pool.
The top nine players were:
| Place | Name | Prize |
| 1st | boogey77 | $58,564 |
| 2nd | 12stacks | $37,268 |
| 3rd | Apuh99 | $27,285.50 |
| 4th | GASSS_U | $21,628.75 |
| 5th | ssilentsteve | $16,637.50 |
| 6th | junkie4free | $11,979 |
| 7th | whambamtysir | $7,719.80 |
| 8th | ubetterRUN | $5,590.20 |
| 9th | edgehill | $4,099.48 |
Also making the cash, and becoming the highest-placing Full Tilt Poker pro so far this series, was John Cernuto. He ended up in 13th position with a $1,703.68 payday.
Today's event, hosted by Jordan "iMsoLucky0" Morgan, is a $300+$22 No-Limit Hold'em six-max with re-buys tournament. It starts at 9 p.m. (EST) and will have a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool.
