FTOPS VI update: Event 8

Event 8 No-Limit Hold'em proved to be a winning proposition for uuhhhicall Monday as Full Tilt Poker hosted the second $1 million guaranteed event of its online series.

The $1,000+$60 buy-in event attracted 1,332 players, boosting the guaranteed prize up to $1,332,000 for Event 8 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VI. Among those were the host for the event, Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby, plus a few pros who made it into the cash.

The highest-placing Full Tilt pro was Lynette Chan, a Vancouver native who's now a full-time poker pro and part-time actress and model. Chan made it to 40th and raked in $3,596.40.

JJ Liu also made it into the money, cashing in 125th place for $1,864.80.

In the end, though, it was uuhhhicall taking the first-place position and the top prize of $250,416. Second and third place also paid out into the six-figure range.

Today's event of the FTOPS VI starts up at 9 p.m. (EST) with Chris Ferguson hosting. It will be a $200+$16 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo event with a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool.
