Although the Full Tilt Online Poker Series V is drawing to a close it's definitely going out in style.

Today kicks off the much-vaunted Main Event of FTOPS V with 2006 Main Event runner-up Paul Wasicka handling the hosting duties. It's going to be a monster event with a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million and a relatively small buy-in of $500+35. The game will of course be No-Limit Hold'em.

Today also marks the second day of the $2,500+$120 No-Limit Hold'em event hosted by the incomparable Phil Ivey. The first day featured 648 players who decided to take a crack at the massive $1.6 million prize pool. With the high buy-in the pros were out in droves.

David Chiu was one of the early leaders with $14,000 but host Phil Ivey was not far behind with $10,000. There were also plenty of big-time bust-outs early on including Thomas "The Walrus" Wahlroos, Jennifer Harman and Ram Vaswani.

In the later stages of the tournament it was Erick Lindgren, Steven Brecher and Gavin Smith among others who were doing the busting. Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was silenced when his hand of A-3 didn't up.

Host Ivey was himself eventually busted when his set was beat by another player's better straight.

At the end of the day the only big-name players remaining were David Chiu who sits in 28th place, Eddie Scharf in 64th and Max Pescatori holding onto 71st. Dag Martin Mikkelsen who won $237,865 at the 2007 WSOP Main Event is in 5th place with $85,240.

Grndhg25 is hoping he doesn't see his own shadow because he's currently the chip leader with $116,579.

Full Tilt tournament organizers have also announced the payout structure with the top 63 places paying out. First place is a cool $396,900.

bmqball is currently in control of the FTOPS V leaderboards with 335 points. It will be interesting to see if anybody can pull off an upset by tomorrow.
