Frazer qualifies online for Poker Million VI

Ian Frazer

By Arthur Crowson

English poker player Ian Frazer is gearing up for another run at the title in the Ladbrokes Poker Million VI but even if he doesn't win he won't be losing much.

Frazer, sometimes known in the card-playing community as "Razor," qualified for the second consecutive year while playing online at Ladbrokespoker.com.

Frazer also qualified online for last year's Poker Million but was busted out by overall winner Raj Modha.

When he's not playing poker Frazer is a project manager for Croydon building company Vidette Ltd. He is also a father of three.

Perhaps most well-known for winning the Pacific Poker Open in 2005, Frazer won $500,000 by beating WSOP bracelet holder Brian Wilson in heads-up play. Since then Frazer has gone on to win over $1 million playing poker.

In a recent story with www.thisislocallondon.co.uk Frazer mentioned that he's planning on going even further in the tournament.

"Playing in the Poker Millions VI with Ladsbrokepoker.com will be a huge challenge," he said. "Going head-to-head with the world's premiere poker elite will be a test in itself, let alone playing under the pressure of studio lights and cameras. I was beaten heads-up last year by the eventual winner Raj Modha so this year I'm looking for some revenge."

The Ladbrokes Poker Million VI kicked off on Sept. 18 with a celebrity heat. There will be a total of 13 weekly heats, which are all leading up to a live final on Dec. 21. Sky Sports is filming the entire series and should be broadcasting the episodes shortly. Check your local TV listings for times.

Although the 72 seats for the Ladbrokes Poker Million VI have been filled there are plenty of other exceptional events for which to qualify. Last year Modha qualified for just $9 on Ladbrokespoker.com and took home an astounding $1 million in cash.
