Four poker pros purchase residences at W Las Vegas

By: Sarah Polson

Phil Hellmuth, David Williams, Antonio Esfandiari, and Phil Laak have all bought fully furnished condominium residences at the W Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Residences, making the site one of the most popular for professional poker players.

Phil Hellmuth actually won a $700,000 fully furnished condo in the W Las Vegas earlier this year during the W Las Vegas Poker Invitational at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Not long after winning, he upgraded the condo to a $2 million penthouse suite.

The hotel condominium residences at the W Las Vegas are being sold as studios, one bedroom apartments and suites but can be combined to form larger residences. The fully-furnished units are designed by Charles Allem.

The W Las Vegas is expected to span 24.5 acres in Las Vegas at the center of the Harmon Corridor boutique district. It will also be the first W Hotel property with a casino. Other amenities planned for the property include dining and nightlife facilities, a Fred Segal retail Emporium, and a spa.
