Fossilman Final Tables HPT New Mexico

Greg Raymer
Fossilman: Still got it.

2004 WSOP Main Event champ Greg Raymer is the chip leader heading into the final table at the latest stop on the Heartland Poker Tour in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Raymer, still one of the most popular players on tour despite being almost a decade on from his ME title, stacked up over 600k to hold the edge heading into the final day tomorrow.

As always, he kept his legions of fans updated throughout the tournament via Twitter.

After two long days of play, he got to share the good news late night night:

Joining Raymer at the final table are Allan Hedin, Scott Dougherty, Steven Carruthers, Robert Crawford and Benjie Benevidez.

A near-victim of the Epic Poker League bankruptcy debacle, the highly successful Heartland Poker Tour was sold off at auction earlier this month to Pinnacle Entertainment which plans to continue running and expanding the Tour.

The latest stop on the HPT has shown Pinnacle made a good investment as the event made New Mexico history with the largest prize pool ever for a poker tournament in the state.

Over $71,000 is on the table for first place.

Live coverage of the final table at the Route 66 Hotel and Casino is available on starting at 12 pm local time today.
