Finland vs. France: Antonius scoops $438,964 pot

Patrik Antonius

It's hard to find three players that epitomize fearless high-stakes poker like Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine, and last night the wolves were fighting each other as the Full Tilt pros put in a huge session on RailHeaven.

Thus far this year Benyamine has been the player to beat, with nearly $2 million already booked, while Antonius has been on a serious downswing (ironically since becoming a member of Team Full Tilt Poker). But it was a different story last night.

Antonius stumbled at first but after getting in the hold several hundred thousand dollars, the Finnish Phenom started a giant-sized heater that ended with him well in the green.

Preliminary reports have Antonius picking up approximately $268,445 while Benyamine lost about $339,041 in the session. Ivey had to settle for a modest $70,000 gain.

The biggest pot of the night came when Antonius and Benyamine clashed in an epic $438,964 hand. They both got it in with massive draws but Antonius hit while Benyamine missed. Fervent Antonius fanboys everywhere cheered at their hero's good fortune.
