Final table set at Grand Prix de Paris
By Erik Sylven
Nine players remain to fight for the €422,560 first prize at the Grand Prix de Paris. Will Ma tops the field ahead of Jeffrey Lisandro and Ram Vaswani.
Due the uncertain legal situation regarding poker in France, the World Poker Tour (WPT) decided to drop Grand Prix de Paris from its schedule.
The event has, however, still received much attention, and many big names came to play.
The €10,000 championship tournament has being going on since May 6, and is now nearing its crescendo at the Aviation Club de France.
Sweden's Tor Gammelgård came into day 4 as chip leader, but lost two big pots early on, and was only in sixth place at the end of the day.
Instead Will Ma will be in command when the final table action kicks off today.
These are the chip counts for the final table:
| Place | Name | Chips |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Will Ma | 610,000 |
| 2nd | Jeffrey Lisandro | 490,000 |
| 3rd | Ram Vaswani | 413,000 |
| 4th | David Redlin | 370,000 |
| 5th | Runar Runarsson | 309,000 |

| 7th | Paul Gourlay | 122,000 |
| 8th | Yuri Kerzhapkin | 111,000 |
| 8th | Jeff Wallace | 103,000 |
